This article is for store staff and merchant partners using the Gifted Merchant Portal to redeem gift cards presented by customers.
Overview
When a customer visits your store and wants to pay with a Gifted gift card, your role is to verify and redeem the gift card through the Gifted Merchant Portal. This ensures a secure transaction and allows you to get paid for the redeemed amount.
Gifted uses a 4-digit verification code system to make this process quick and easy—no scanning or manual entry of long codes needed.
Step-by-Step: How to Redeem a Gift Card
Log In to the Merchant Portal

Use the credentials shared with you by the Gifted onboarding team. You can tick "Keep me signed in" for faster access next time.Ask the Customer for Their 4-Digit Code
The customer shows you a 4-digit verification code from their phone or printed voucher. This is linked to the actual gift card value.Search the Code in the Portal
Use the search bar or scroll to locate the matching 4-digit code in your portal.Confirm the Amount
Before redeeming, double-check that the amount shown matches what the customer expects to spend.-
Click "Verify" to Redeem
When ready, click the “Verify” button.🔲 Grey box = pending
✅ Green box = verified and redeemed
Done!
The code is now redeemed, and the funds will be included in your next payout.
Important Notes
Each code is unique and can only be used once.
Only codes assigned to your store will be visible in your Merchant Portal.

If a customer cannot see or access their code, it may be:
Already redeemed at another store
Not yet revealed in the app
How & When You Get Paid
Only redeemed codes (green) count toward payouts
Payouts are issued on the 25th of the following month
Our finance team will contact you if this is your first payout and request any needed details.
