Redeeming a Card

When you download the Gifted app you never have to worry about losing or forgetting another Gift Card again! It’s all securely stored in one place, so you can redeem Gift Cards in stores right from your phone. 

Did you get a Gift Card that you didn’t want? With Gifted, you can always re-gift Gift Cards that you received but will not use. All you need to do is simply click on “Forward as SMS”. That way, Gift Cards never go to waste.

By registering your phone number you can store, access, and redeem your Gift Card(s) safely and with ease. It takes only a few seconds! And in the event you lose your phone or change your number, the Gifted team can easily retrieve your order history attached to your number. 

You got a Gift Card! Yay! All you’ve got to do is follow the quick and easy steps below and start shopping at your favourite stores. 

 

Gift Code Reveal process:

Step 01: Open the link sent to you via SMS and click on the link through your mobile phone

Step 02: If you haven’t installed the Gifted App, you’ll be automatically directed to Google Play Store or the App Store. Download the app to reveal your gift code.

Step 03: Open the app in your Google Play Store or App Store.

Step 04: Agree to the Terms and Policies and click on Save Card.

Step 05: Your Gift Card will be saved and secured in the ‘Cards’ tab. That’s it. You’re now ready to redeem and shop!

Go to My Cards tab in the Gifted app and select a card from the list. The expiry date
can be found in the Card Details screen.
 
*Gifted Cards are valid for 12 months from the date of activation.
 

Sorry! This is not possible – our Gift Cards are normally valid for 12 months unless otherwise specified on your card "Validity". 

Please always remember to check your card's expiry date and use your card before it expires.

Not all brands support swapping at the moment. If you’d still like to exchange or swap a card against another brand, please reach out to Gifted Support.

*Swapping is not possible after you have revealed the gift code.

Simply, provide the cashier your Gift Code at checkout and you should be all set!

We recommend that you “Reveal Code” prior to visiting the store for a faster shopping experience. 

To check your Gift Card balance you may contact the respective merchant directly. Most retailers & restaurants allow you to check the balance online by contacting the merchant directly or by visiting them in person.

Depending on the brand of your Gift Card you can either redeem partially or only in full. The balance stays on your Gift Card until it is fully redeemed, as long as the card has not expired. 

Sorry to hear that! Please try these quick fixes,

  • Make sure that you remove any spaces from the gift code when you copy it over or type it into the merchant's checkout page. 
  • If you continue to experience any technical issues on the merchant’s web checkout page and notice that you’ve received an invalid code, you would have to directly contact the merchant. They know what to do and how to help you out!
  • If the QR Code won't scan, ask the cashier to type in the Gift Card code manually by hand.
